Taking essential oils isn’t for everyone and it’s definitely not for young children. I also need to stress that not all essential oils are safe for internal consumption so it’s very important to always read the labels.
It’s also about how comfortable you are around using essential oils and following guidelines provided by dōTERRA on each of the bottles of essential oils. Continue reading Period Pain Relief
The repellent outdoor blend. Says it all, doesn’t it?
I remember when I first starting using dōTERRA essential oils many years ago and buying a bottle of TerraArmour to use in summer. You see, I had been searching for something natural and effective ever since our oldest daughter Isabella was a toddler, so I was keen to give it a go. Glenn and I watched a YouTube clip on how to use it, and couldn’t wait for my order to arrive.

Do you smell a chocolate undertone when you smell dōTERRA’s insect repellent blend, TerraArmour? I do. I find it utterly addictive. Personally, I feel it’s from the combination of Arborvitae and Vanilla Bean Absolute.
TerraArmour has been one of our household staple essential oils, especially during mozzie season. This year, my girls started piano lessons, so Glenn and I sit outside chatting quietly whilst they are in their lessons, but there are always lots of mozzies.
In it’s simplest form, I throw a bottle of TerraArmour into my handbag and we apply a few drops from the bottle on our skin. It has a fractionated coconut oil in the blend, so it’s safe to use it straight from the bottle. Another way we use it, is to add 20 drops into a 50ml spray bottle with cool boiled water and a pinch of salt, and spray away.

It’s almost the end of another year. Are you thinking of taking your self care and lox tox life to the next level in 2020?
Why not start with your skin care? You simply can buy a carrier oil or a combination of carrier oils and add your essential oils for your skin needs.
Like essential oils, there are many different types of carrier oils to use. They each have their own benefits for our skin. When we combine carrier oils with essential oils we end up with something magical that fully supports our bodies.

With so many emotional and physical benefits of course I love to add black spruce to my diffusers around the home.
It’s been a fabulous variation to the usual respiratory blends that I use. Particularly, over the past month with the smoky air. But, it’s also great to diffuse after a particularly smelly meal. Or, when you discover uneaten food in school bags! Or, with some baking soda in smelly sports shoes!

I love the spicy scent of black spruce essential oil. It’s great to have spicy almost perfume-like notes of essential oils to add depth to your pure-fumes and personal care products.
When I first smelt black spruce it reminded me so much of my beloved douglas fir essential oil. It’s that fresh earthy scent coming from the needles and branches. Teleporting my imagination to a forest. My happy place. The scent immediately soothes and relaxes me.
I was completely drawn to using it in pure-fumes as a top note with a difference.

One of the women in our Essential Olie Tree, Sue has tried and tested Cedarwood essential oil against carpet fleas.
It lead me to searching for a recipe that is easy to make and use that’s also low toxic.

This is a great recipe once your ready to branch out from ‘starter’ oils. Litsea is one of those oils that I believe everyone should have in their essential oil collection. I call it my icy pole oil x sherbert oil, as it has this delicious sweet citrus scent. Hence, this diffuser blend name of Sweetness.
I can’t get enough of it, and especially at the moment to help evoke feelings of summer.

I haven’t shared too many of my homemade cordial recipes yet. I started to make Pineapple Cordial as we got a few pineapples in our box divvy that were either dry or very ripe. It’s a great way to even use up pineapple that has been cut up and not eaten.
I love making cordials in summer! We are having such a warm spring that I’ve started to make fruit cordials earlier this year.

Well, as promised, here is my signature rollerball pure-fume I have made for a handful of my wholesale customers.
You see when each of my wholesale customers attend a workshop, not only to do we have fun, but they also receive a special thank you gift from me. This pure-fume blend is an example of one of those thank you gifts.
